Who would have thought that the implications in this game would be so defined. This is Auburn's road to the National Championship while Tennessee would like nothing better than to close the road entirely. In their previous match-up, Auburn won in Knoxville 34-10 and believe me the score is a accurate representation of the game.
Erik Ainge tried his best to do what he could, but the Auburn defense was his Kryptonite. As for this game, Ainge is still questionable. He may or may not start. It will more than likely be a game-time decision. This Auburn team is hands down, the best team in college football. This is a team that has won 99% of their games by a margin of 13 points or better. Auburn did look a little weak against Alabama, but the fact they won says a lot. That's the difference between a good team and a great team. A great team will always find a way to win. As for Tennessee, they have had more than their fair share of problems this year. Everything from injuries, quarterback issues, and defensive playcalling. The most obvious of the latter is in the last two games against Vanderbilt and Kentucky. Both Vanderbilt and Kentucky combined accounted for 743 yards and 64 points. All from the worst two (2) teams in the SEC.
I think Auburn is going to come out and strike quick. Currently residing at #3 in the BCS Standings, Auburn is going to need a very good showing against a inferior Tennessee team to remotely have a chance to go to the Orange Bowl. All year Auburn has shown the power that all teams have to envy. The power running game hasn't been stopped yet coupled with the passing of Jason Campbell. I think Auburn is going to win and I think they are going to win very big unless Tennessee's defense steps their game up.
