USC officially has become bowl eligible with their come from behind victory against Arkansas 35-32. This game was a total shoot-out from the start. This game was a must-win for the Gamecocks and they did just that. This was a very close game but turnovers was the key. Arkansas QB Matt Jones threw 2 key interceptions including the one that was picked off by USC DB Freshman Ko Simpson at USC's 2 yard line with 29 seconds to play in the game. Dondrial Pinkins went out right before halftime and it is believed to be the end of his season. It is speculated that he has aggravated his rotator cuff injury.
With this loss, it makes the bowl mountain even larger for Arkansas to climb. Arkansas has now dropped to 1-4, 3-5 overall with games against Mississippi, Mississippi State, and LSU remaining. With the win, USC is now 4-3, 6-3 overall.
