The Ole Miss Rebels will have their hands full on Saturday when they come into Williams Bryce Stadium for their showdown with the USC Gamecocks. The Gamecocks are coming off a clean-cut win against Alabama in Tuscaloosa. USC and Ole Miss will meet for the 13th time this Saturday at 1pm EST. The rebels currently lead the series at 7-5-0 and that record will change. Here's my take on the game:
USC has the advantage in this match-up. With the sloppy play of Mississippi's QB's Spurlock and Flatt, they are really going to have to grow up in less than 60 mins. Otherwise they are going to look just like Guillon & Pennington of Alabama. (2 INT's each) USC's defense has been absolutely amazing. They have stopped everyone that has crossed their path and I honestly see no reason why they cannot shut down the Ole Miss offense. Also, given the lack of experience for both QB's, (Spurlock & Flatt) I expect USC's Fred Bennett and Ko Simpson to have a big game.
I predict that Ole Miss will do their very best, but it won't be enough. The Ole Miss team is struggling and it will continue to struggle after Saturday. The Gamecocks are going to win and they are going to win big.
