WOW! What a couple of dominating performances. I said that Georgia would not be able to "flip the switch"...I was wrong. Richt had those Dawgs ready and they finally looked as good (if not better) as all the hype. They destroyed LSU. They manhandled a good defense and were impressive in every aspect. THAT was impressive.
Auburn looked good as well. They socked Tennessee in the mouth from the first play and never let up. That RB combo is TOUGH. I was especially impressed with Campbell. The Auburn defense is good, but I believe that the ESPN announcers gave them a little too much credit during the game. Randy Sanders (TN off. coor.) had one of his questionable play calling games. I don't know why they didn't try to run earlier. Regardless, the Freshmen finally looked like freshmen. Great win for Auburn!
Looks like you Dawgs and War Eagles can start making reservations for Atlanta!!

I had a feeling about Auburn winning, but not whooping. I had no clue that Georgia would smack LSU around. I LOVE MIKE SHULA, but he coached a terrible game today.

Oh well!

I LOVE MIKE SHULA, but he coached a terrible game today.

Agreed. In my opinion, he should have never pulled out Guillon when he did. Yes, he threw his 2nd interception of the game, but for the most part he was going alright. He just needs to learn when to throw, and when to take a hit or throw the ball away. Pennington on the other hand, came in with a completely cold arm and just really let Carolina's defense break loose to win the game.

I'm not sure what was going through Shula's head last night, but he and the rest of the team have to get in a better state of mind for next week. I read in the Birmingham News this morning an article stating something to the effect of, "This is Alabama football without Brodie Croyle." This was really upsetting because although he is a decent QB, Brodie is not the central force that makes this team work. It just seemed like they weren't playing to their fullest potential this week, and will really have to work on their focus for the remainder of the season.
