I'd like to get some opinions on the Arkansas/Florida game.
I think it will be a good game. Florida is very dangerous and has some top tier talent in their lineup. They have the leading passer, rusher and receiver in the conference as of this week. Needless to say, they've got a very well-balanced and explosive offense. But, i know their defense is young and they didn't look super impressive against Kentucky last week.
Arkansas is tough. Matt Jones gives the Hogs a chance in any game they play, and i don't think this weekend will be different.
The game is at 12, which is fairly early, so if Jones and co. can come out and get on the board early, the crowd may not be a factor.
I just want to know what other people think.

If going with arkansas.....i think florida still hasnt found their groove yet. they seemed to struggle with kentucky. chris leak is awesome, but i think thier offense is pretty one dimensional. if the hogs can run the ball well, arkansas should get the win

Florida does NOT have the leading rusher or receiver in the conference. Those titles belong to Ray Hudson of Alabama and Troy Williamson of USC. I think Leak and company will step it up a notch. Florida 28 Arkansas 20

I was talkin yards per game, not overall. Fason (132.0) Hudson (116.2) and OJ Small is leading in receptions per game at six but his yardage is nowhere near the top.

Hogs have a great chance to win this game. This game should suit our style much better than the Texas or Bama game. Jones and co. can open it up much more than in those two games. Florida has been quite shaky in all of there games so far even E. Mich was close for a little while. I am just not impressed with Zook and his team. the only thing that bothers me has a Hog fan is playing in the Swamp with such a young team, but any Hog fan knows that these freshmen are different than any other group we had in a long time. You REALLY have to be impressed with the job Nutt has done with such a young team this year. They gave a really good Texas team all that they could handle and beat a decent Bama team pretty soundly! Unfortunately, both of those games came at the comfort of home....this week will be different. While I love the scrappyness of Matt Jones (that guy's a warrior) I think that the Swamp and the Gators will be too much for this young team to handle. Fla-31, Ark-16
The Swamp is one of the WORST places to play in the SEC. Chris Leak of FL has been showing improvement every game. Not to mention that Arkansas needs to find a way to stop Fason. Right now he's <<<Scorching>>> hot on the field.

I agree, the Swamp is a hell of a place for any visiting team to go play in. But, this is an early game. Arkansas, unlike their games against Texas and Alabama, should and will open the offense up more and try to do more with Jones early. If the Hogs could come out and "smack" Florida in the mouth quickly, that crowd could get quiet and stay that way, much like Arkansas did at Texas last year. But, this teams inexperience on the road definately hinders them a bit. However, #9 and the other senior, juniors, have operated in more hostile atmospheres than The Swamp. Granted, not many, but nobody can tell me that Gainsville will be worse than a night game in Knoxville on Espn that 6OT's. That was the most unbelievable atmosphere i've ever seen, and i've seen some good ones.
Anyway, it's hard to tell what's going to happen saturday, but i just hope we come out and represent ourselves well. I don't think Florida will be able to run like Bama and Texas did. But they'll be passing the ball much, much better than either of the two. So we'll see. Can't Wait. Go Hogs

Leak has not improved each game maybe yardage wise but has dropped in TD's and had 3 picks against Kentucky. I feel that Nutt will have this team well prepared , he closed practiced for the first time all year and said that he was really making it a point to the freshmen of have important this game is and that focus is much more important on the road. If it comes down to coaching or details then Nutt has a sure advantage over Zook.(see Tennessee game"20 seconds")
