Anybody know the official web site or email address for the SEC officials?

I've never heard of a website or email for the officials.

Blown call, eh? Which one?

The officials work for the SEC. Here's the address:

Southeastern Conference
2201 Richard Arrington Blvd. North
Birmingham, AL 35203

Attention: Bobby Gaston, Coordinator of Football Officiating

The phone numbers are:
(205) 458-3000
(205) 458-3031 - FAX

When you write them mention that stupid rule that gave Auburn a second chance at the extra point against LSU. A Personal Foul because the LSU safety jumped up to block a kick and landed on the AU center. Isn't football about landing on the other player. What's next a PF for tackling too hard?

Nice post, Bayou Bengal! I'd say there will be a time when I'll want to use that address.

It will probably not do much good to complain. Division 1A conferences have a convenient way of sweeping such debacles under the rug with lame excuses.

That game was one of the worst I have ever seen regarding blown or bad calls. I think the SEC needs to send their officials to remedial training in football.

Ah, be nice about it. We all get mad at a bad call sometimes.

yeah i get mad but i dont blame a loss on a bad call....i.e...when we had the bad call three years ago with gaffneys TD, i was pissed, but i didnt blame the game on it. we had plenty of blown chances to win that game.
lots of gator fans talk of nothing but that one call, but whats the excuse when we started at our own 20 4 times and drove the ball 80 yds? whats the excuse for making a 4th down and 6 conversion late in the 4th? whats the excuse for wilhoit drilling a 50 yd field goal? whats the excuse for our freshman qb they all said would choke throwing three touchdowns? i just hate excuses from people who cant take a loss like a man.

I'll agree with some of that. But, I agree with others that the officiating in that game was bad.

I agree that the rule in the Auburn game is silly. It reminds me of the halo rule (good riddance) and could just as easily have been called on us (and may be yet). Still, I have to agree with usafvolfan. Both AU and LSU had plenty of opportunities to put the game away and didn't do it.

The outcome of athletic contests should be decided by the players not the officals. Perhaps the Vols would have won the game had the correct calls been made, perhaps not. We will never know.

Hey guys...Come on now!! You can pick apart ANY game on ANY given Saturday. Granted, if the shoe was on the other foot, every toothless Vol fan would be coming out from under every rock to complain (I'm allowed to smack my own, right?), but let's stay grounded. The Gator's didn't take advantage of their opportunities to put the Vols away earlier. If they take care of their own business, that call by the refs means nothing! Let's not lose sight of this...to say that one blown call cost anybody the win or loss is just plain ignorant. It works both ways...the Vols didn't get screwed 4 years ago, either. If memory serves me right, if the Vols convert a 3rd and short late in that game, or score TD's instead of FG's, or keep the Gators from driving the ball 90 plus yards in the final minutes, the Vols win that game! They didn't get screwed by the refs...they didn't make the plays to win the game. Just as the Gators didn't make the plays to win in Knoxville last Saturday night. All of this whining about the refs is getting old. SCOREBOARD...in case any of you forgot!! And as for you LSWho...you shut up as well!! Be happy you only have one loss...remember that you are only a mediocre kicker away from being 2-2!!! Hope you enjoyed that SPLIT title!!!

Yes, but the players have to play within the rules and enforcing the rules will always involve faulty human judgement. Once you start saying "put away the whistle," you have to ask when? and which penalties to overlook? It just doesn't seem reasonable.
