I stuck it at the top of the forum so it'll be more visible.

To get you referral code for making a link that gets you credit for sending a member here, 1st go to your username in a post and hover over it.

My user ID is 1.... Now take that one and plug it into this URL to put where you want to promote the site.

http://www.sectalk.com/boards/index.php?referrerid=1

REPLACE THE ONE WITH YOUR USER ID....

Lets say for instance that you want to send it to a buddy via email, in your case only, copy the following...(CTRL-C)
http://www.sectalk.com/boards/index.php?referrerid=12
Then Paste (CTRL-V) into your email. The email program should parse the URL automaticly and make it a link.

If you wanted to add it as a signature in another forum, Copy and Paste this.
<a href="http://www.sectalk.com/boards/index.php?referrerid=12">Visit SEC Talk!</a>

I fixed your HTML, Chris.

Or, you could link a image.

<a target="_blank" title="Visit SEC Talk!" href=http://www.sectalk.com/boards/index.php?referrerid=12>
<img src="http://files.aximsite.com/sec/sectalk.gif" border="0" width="281" height="58"></a>

That has a bunch of extra stuff thats really not needed, but it makes it look good. If you want a explanition of the code, just ask.

I'm at collegefootballnews.com, how would I put it in my profile b/c I copied and pasted that gibberish and it's not working, so I just have www.sectalk.com in it...

That could be because they don't support HTML. If they don't, I recommend that you have http://www.sectalk.com/boards/index.php?referrerid=12 in it so you will still get the referals.

and they can just copy and paste it? b/c when I enter into my sig it isn't a link...

That's what they'd have to do.
