Tennessee 3rd in the East? I fear that it might be worse than that.
What put AU over LSU?
LSU has a rougn OOC schedule I've heard (maybe not the case) and I think that a physical ground game (AU) against LSU after they are banged up against some good teams might catch them.

Sorry RW13. Our OOC schedule isn't too intimidating. Defense will again be a cornerstone for my Tigers and I don't see them being too banged up after those two opening games. We open SEC play with AU this year instead of playing them mid-season like last year. We held their vaunted ground game pretty much in check last year. AU didn't start off too well last year, and Tubbs is still their coach. Sure, we lost four important parts to that defense, but the rest is back. And four years of excellent recruiting is about to really pay dividends.
guess I was wrong about the OOC(although OSU is no cupcake), I do believe Auburn will be a better team this year and I think UGA is gonna win the whole SEC, no disrepect at all to the program you guys have there. You will be in the National Title hunt again after this year. You guys got something special in Baton Rouge I just don't see you guys going back to back and winning the SEC again

None taken! I like our chances of meeting UGA in Atlanta again this year. I think that we have to be the favorite from the West. If we do make it, who knows who will win it all. As for AU, there are problems on the Plains within the department. They will have a good team, I just think that LSU's will be just a tad better. Can't wait for summer to be over and football to begin.
I'll Just say this, I will not be suprised at all if LSU is in the SECCG, not one bit, and despite my predictions, if I had to bet all my money on one West team to make it to the SECCG, I would bet it on LSU, but I have a funny feeling about this year, that's all, not based on logic or fact or otherwise I would have gone with LSU, good luck anyways...

I missed a golden chance to see what kind of team we'll have this year. After watching highlights from the Orange and White game, I think that we have a "ok" team. I hope that changes for the better. Fulmer seems positive, but he always is. I just hope Casey's brother will step up this year.

Surely UT is not hanging it's hat on Casey's brother? The one that transferred from LSU because he saw the writing on the wall? Don't get me wrong, I hope that he does well. But he couldn't start at LSU. Surely Phil has recruited better than this.

My predictions-
East-
FL
UGA
VU
UT
SC
UK
West-
LSU
AUB
ARK
Ole Miss
Bama
Miss State
nice predictions, although you seem to be very high on Vandy, I have them 4th which is pretty high, and I think they can go 6-5 this year, and even win a 7th game in the bowl against a weaker conference opponent. more than likely though they will only win 4 games and maybe 5 at the most...

The site has acually been here for almost a year, but I had not taken the time to get things started with school and other things bogging me down. Now, Dudeman, ssand, and I are trying to get the ball rolling. There are other sites out there, but hopefuilly we can get news/insider info from fans of all schools.

What he said. I, for one, am glad to see new members. We certanily need 'em. And tell others about the site; you can win sports cards (http://www.sectalk.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=87).
Also, I'm sure it just slipped their minds, I am helping by contributing to topics, they just forgot to mention RW13 :D

I hate to say it, but it's probably true. The one thing that I like is that there is now an offensive co-ordinator at Auburn. Tuberville was doing the office last year, and he couldn't handle the double duty. I realize that they live by the defense, but what will LSU's offense look like this year?

I realize the dawgs tend to wee wee their panties when they play Florida, but Florida first in the East?
I think UF has a good shot to win the East also, but UGA will prob have the better record...

I'm not as high on Vandy this year. I also don't see Tennessee being 4th in the east.
Rick Clausen and CJ Leak were virtually even in Spring Practice, but I think they will both step it up to fight off the incoming frosh. Time will tell
Vandy is no joke though, especially this year, see Kansas last year...

Yeah, they were. But Leak will start. This'll be Clausen's learning year, IMO.

My predictions for the SEC are
West---LSU, Auburn, Arkansas, Alabama, Ole Miss, Miss. St.
East---Georgia, Florida, S. Carolina, Tennessee, Vandy, Kentucky
I realize that a lot of people, including media, is drooling over Georgia because they have a lot of returnees on offense and defense. I respect that, and I believe teams will respect that in the SEC. But LSU's defense is even better this year, and from watching the Spring Game, Randall has matured immensely and has taken control of this team. Remember, two years ago LSU was picked to be in contention for the National Title, but fell to Texas in the Cotton Bowl. Look what they did this past year. They were picked to win the West, but don't believe they were picked to challenge for the National Title. As much as I want an SEC team to be represented in the NT game, I think Georgia will lose 2 games this year. I think LSU will only lose one...whether it be to Florida or Georgia. LSU will be well jelled together and experienced to pull off another SEC Title game victory. Remember 2001? Tennessee was picked to win and LSU won ruining UT title hopes. Georgia's will be dashed this year also.
are you the same LSUWinsAgains from Collegefootballnews.com?

Personally I think it will be UGA from the East and LSU from the West. I know that's so plain right but I really think that's the 2 best teams in the SEC IMO. Also I'm new here and really excited about joining.

You have Ole Miss way too low and Arkansas too high.
Fix it before it's too late.

Good Luck to your team this year. I'll probably miss the whole season.

[Hey Razorbackmarine,
Glad you came on board to help me fight off these fellas, ha ha. You're in San Diego.......my uncle is in the Navy out there. GL with everything.
As much as I hate to say it.......most of y'all have the Hogs way too high. One starter back on offense (Jones) and a revamped O-line. I'm high on Johnson at qb and I'm sure he'll get in some with Jones shifting to wideout but they're going to be inconsistent moving the ball until some new receivers develop. Howard had a great spring and worked with the track coach on his speed and Birmingham should be solid in the backfield but I'm not optimistic as a whole. Lot of young guys on D too.
With Bama's schedule, I would put them in that third spot with the pivotal game being against the Hogs. But I'd give them the nod as that third team in the West right now.
I also like Georgia and LSU obviously but for the sake of argument, Florida has owned the Dawgs of late and if that continues, the Gators could be the surprise of the East. Lot of close losses last year.

I said it somewhere else, but I think Arkansas wins the West, South Carolina wins the East. I honestly think South Carolina might stroll in the East this year.
