"I have committed to Alabama," said McCarron. "I knew in my heart that Alabama was where I wanted to go and I didn't see any reason to wait any longer before I let everyone else know. It all came down to where I felt the most comfortable and which school I think is headed towards a national championship and that is Alabama. It came down to Alabama, Georgia, Miami and Oklahoma. They were all great schools and I was honored they wanted me to be part of their program. They recruited me hard and so did other school like Auburn, FSU and some more, but none were a better opportunity for me than Alabama.
Looks like a great pick up for the Tide nation. Congrats!
About how many 09 recruits are you allowed pick up?
We're looking right at around 20 or 21 spots when it's all said and done. We have 18 seniors and counting Andre leaving early it's 19 spots. So I wouldn't be shocked to see us sign another full class of 25.
