Dre Kirkpatrick remains a 5 star, but he moved down to the 27th overall player on their list. He's a Bama lean
Kendall Kelly is his teammate and he was upgraded to a 5 star and actually jumped over Dre. He's another Bama lean and they're both former teammates and are friends of Jerrell Harris who committed here for the 08 class.
Nico Johnson was awarded his 5th star in the update and is the 2nd ranked MLB. Huge bama fan, and leaning towards Bama.
Tana Patrick was awarded his 5th star and is the 2nd ranked SLB. He's expected by many to be a Bama lean, but it will be likely be a battle with Georgia for him.
DJ Fluker is still rated as a DT not OT, and is back to being a 4* by Scout.
Our other 2 commits in Mckellar and Williams got their ranking debut as 3* players. Andrew Bone says both are candidates for 4 stars during or after their senior seasons. Trent Richardson the RB out of Florida got his 4th star and is a heavy Bama lean
Prospects Ming/Bullard/Bonds/Boyd/Jeffrys/Patterson/Sentimore/Farms/McDanials/Kenny Bell/Scott/etc. who all have Bama very high on their lists are all 4 star prospects on the updated list.
AJ McCarron is still a 4* and is 87th prospect overall on Scout and is expected to commit to Bama this Saturday.
Bama has also recently offered and strongly recruiting OT Morgan Moses out of Virginia who is a Scout 4 star and 5* number 1 lineman according to Rivals . He has us on his list and says to not be worried about distance from his home and will take his time and commit to a school later in the process. He has oen of the most impressive vids I've seen of a OL @ Rivals.com
Overall while we haven't hit the ground running like LSU or Georgia we look to have a very star studded class yet again. We likely to sign around 20 at least IMO and will be at least a top 10 class again. The 4 Scout 5 star athletes I mentioned are all truly expected to be Bama signees and those are just the guys in state. If we do somehow pull another likely 5 star Moses/Randle/Marlon Brown/ or Craig Drummond we could have yet another very special class, and with CNS I don't exactly hate the odds of pulling one of them. DJ Fluker still isn't out of the running to become a 5 star after the season starts. A lot of people are excited about him becoming an OT this year and his doctor says he could grow to 6'9. We could EASILY finish up with 16+ 4 and 5 star prospects
