Given High Fives: 804 Rep Power: 1039 | Peek's practicing TUSCALOOSA -- Despite wearing a black jersey early in today's practice, Alabama senior tight end Colin Peek took part in some of the Crimson Tide's drills, Alabama coach Nick Saban said this evening.
"Colin Peek practiced a little yesterday and a little today," Saban said.
But Peek, freshman cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick (muscle pull) and senior running back Terry Grant (muscle pull) still are "day to day" in terms of their status for Saturday's key game against No. 9 LSU.
Michael Williams played against Tennessee after Peek injured a leg in pregame warmups. Williams will play against LSU if Peek isn't ready, Saban said.
"Michael's gotten all the reps the last two weeks," Saban said.
Knowing you might play makes a big difference, Saban said.
"The last game, a guy gets hurt in a freak accident, the other guy isn't as prepared," the coach said. Show class, have pride and display character. If you do, winning takes care of itself. |
