Star is a helluva QB, has a great arm and by now knows our offense, next year you will see Star get more time as Saban preps him for football at the Capstone without McElroy and more than likely A.J. will sit patiently behind him, and Sims will sit patiently behind A.J.

This is true. I know I've stated I don't see Star starting ever for this team, but who knows what will happen down the road. He is only a redshirt freshman and he still has 3 more years here. He could probably be the starter his junior year.

I don't think it's BS anymore.

Cecil Hurt was on the radio last week and he said the hot rumor in the Press Box was that if McElroy didn't get it together for the 2nd half of LSU that McCarron would be the first one in..not Jackson and not Darrah.

With that said, we've seen Jackson get the mop-up duty and that really makes sense. Why burn McCarron's redshirt if you don't have to?

If McElroy goes down and we're in a tight game, I kindof expect Saban to go with the guy who gives us the best chance to make explosive plays on offense and that guy may be McCarron. I believe Saban trusts his defense that much.

I just can't believe that. There's just no way in hell I believe that a true freshman with 0 snaps in a game gets to go out there against a top 10 team if McElroy doesn't play well. That doesn't even sound remotely reasonable.

It's pretty simple really. AJ's not getting enough reps at practice to be the backup. Really, it's that simple.
