Please forgive me for losing these rose colored glasses. But Moreno's performance against Alabama made him look like an heisman trophy candidate.
Through no fault of his own, Terry Grant's number wasn't even called enough to matter. If I were to vote, and I'm not, but Moreno made the difference last Saturday night.
3. Knowshon Moreno, Georgia
Moreno is a perfect fit in Mark Richt's offensive scheme at Georgia, which is predicated on the I-formation downhill rushing attack. The redshirt freshman is adequately built at 5-foot-11, 207 pounds, but he is capable of lowering his shoulder and delivering a blow like a 240-pound fullback. Moreno isn't a speedster, but he is a smooth athlete who will gain lots of yards after contact by keeping his balance and falling forward. Moreno is averaging 5.34 yards per carry but only 16 carries per game while he continues to split time with senior Thomas Brown.

Grant is far better. Again, I don't think Moreno looked extremely dominant even against us and heisman candidate is a long stretch. His stats weren't exactly awesome, infact Grant's were better.
I like 'em both. I like Grant's speed, moves and ability to follow blockers. I like Moreno's intensity and bruising style of running. Both are exceptional backs.
