Given High Fives: 342 Rep Power: 1691 | What I know now Funny story..... In August, I was having ulcers worring about a rebuilding season of Alabama football. Conventional wisdom said the best case senario was an 8 win season.... let's just get bowl eligible.
My fears were about PJ Fitzgerald unable to punt over 40 yards, Marquiz Johnson unalble to cover the 3rd best receiver, a damaged Leigh Tiffin pysche' unable to make a field goal in the 4th quarter, an offensive coordinator that wouldn't call a screen pass, a rookie QB that didn't know the tight end was actually a receiver, two rookie safeties that couldn't protect the long ball, an offensive line losing two All-Americans returning with one starter.
And now, ten games into the season, I realize that all my worry was for naught...
Who in the hell would've guessed that anyone in Tuscaloosa actually knew that a wildcat or pistol formation existed..... much less that the 3-4 would actually become the BASE defense instead of the dime?
Damn buddy, a couple of years ago conventional wisdom said that an SEC couldn't go undefeated, much less two.
What I know now is.... I don't know nothing about football.
Damn, it's good to be me. After everything is said and done, more is said than done. Defy Conventional Wisdom - Noah |
