I believe it is a fact that artificial turf is responsible for more injuries, particularly certain ones like knee or ankle injuries. Once they step onto it, it holds so well that they twist their ankles and knees. It is probably much better for the players if they play on natural grass. And when you fall on grass it is much better than fallling on a "rug", which is how it is sometimes termed.
