Given High Fives: 7 Rep Power: 1213 | Jordan Cooper is one of the top pitchers out of the state of Tennessee this year. Farragut generally has a pretty strong baseball team (the Farragut baseball coach was an assistant coach for the U.S. Under-18 national team) where Cooper led the pitching staff with a 7-1 record and 1.20 ERA and 84 strikeouts in 52 1/3 innings. Perfect Game rates Cooper a 9.5/10 on their rating scale which pegs him as a Top 10 Round draft pick in the MLB amateur draft. He runs his fastball into the upper 80s with good movement. He chose Ole Miss over LSU and Kentucky.
Evan Frazar is a SS from the Dallas area. Haven't read much about his outside of the blurb on the Scout profile. The good thing is though is that he's in Perfect Game's system. Polished hitter and fielder with good movement down the baseline. Perfect Game rates Frazar a 9.5/10.
Zach Lowery is a corner outfielder with potential for first base from talent rich Georgia. Good bat speed and tremendous power which comes from his big frame. Perfect Game rates Lowery a 9.5/10. Lowery chose Ole Miss over Tennessee.
Tanner Mathis is another corner outfielder, but this time from one of the traditionally strong teams in the country in Barbe HS from Lake Charles, LA. Perfect Game rates Mathis an 8/10.
David Renfroe is the top baseball prospect from the state of Mississippi. While he's currently QB'ing the top ranked South Panola Tigers in football, he'll be focusing on baseball when the time comes. Renfroe can and would play any position on the field but he's destined for the mound with a fastball he runs into the mid-90s. A four star player in Baseball America's system, Renfroe is also the reigning Team One MVP in the Under Armour High School Baseball Classic played at Wrigley on ESPN.

Alex Yarbrough is a switch hitting SS from the Dallas, TX area. Yarbrough possesses good size for a kid that's a year younger than everyone else on the field by grade classification and plays solid defense which is sorely needed at the position for the current Rebels. Perfect Game rates Yarbrough a 9/10. |
