I really can't believe that you guys have gone from "We'll suffer, but we'll be ok" to "we'll be fine" to now "We're better without him." Must be something in the corn dogs.

Damn, Bro....you sure seem to be ultra-determined to loudly profess your opinion about the impending demise of everybody else this off-season!

Everybody with the exception of Georgia and Bama shouldn't even bother suiting up this fall according to you!!
To be fair, it should be noted that the article was written by Mandell of SI....a National writer and
not an LSU fan or writer.
Secondly, I think the article CLEARLY states that LSU's chances are certainly deminished because of the loss. The article rather talks of the positive natire of the dismissal with regards to the timing of it all. Considering most everybody thought that this guy was a ticking time bomb, it's hard to argue that point.
Finally, you DO understand that this is a TEAM game, right?? One player's impact is frankly negligable at best...especially at your typical SEC school where talent is in abundance. Anything positive that Perilloux added on the field, it could be argued, may have been wiped out by the negative influence he had on the team off the field. Obviously nobody will ever know and those things are impossible to measure, but they are REAL factors to consider. Again, to act like the Tigers's season is somehow over or lost at this point is just stupid. There is plenty of talent on that team to make up for the loss and the schedule is still pretty favorable by SEC standards. LSU (unfortunately) will be fine!!
