At least the Supreme court is fighting this to some extent and some communities across america. The supreme court has already struck down 2 parts to the patriot act claiming it is unconstitutional, obviously. Also, I'm not sure if you're aware but cities and counties across america are voting and refusing to accept the patriot act, esp. a bunch in california and oregon, I believe San Francisco is one of the biggest cities not to recognize the act. City/County Councils voted, and in some cases referendums passed, which makes me optimistic, there is hope for this country, as long as freedom loving ppl are willing to fight tyranny....
