Default Rebels and Tide battle for top Alabama basketball players
5-star and 4th ranked PF in the 2008 class JaMychal Green has narrowed his list to the Rebels and the Tide eliminating Florida and Kentucky. It's expected that he and 4-star and 8th ranged PG in the 2008 class Andrew Steele, brother of Ronald Steele, will be a package deal.

It's going to be interesting to see if Coach Kennedy can go into Coach Gottfried's territory and walk out with a couple of their best players. It's so nice to have a coach committed to recruiting. The last big time recruit we landed before Kennedy was Justin Reed and that had nothing to do with Coach Barnes and everything to do with bringing in his HS coach as an assistant. Coach Kennedy changed that trend quickly by picking up 4-star PF Malcolm White in his second recruiting class.
