Auburn Football Is No Fun At All..

27 March 2013 - 09:50 AM

I dont mean for the AU fans, no, that goes without saying.  How could they have fun watching their beloved tigers go 0-8 in the SEC, 3-9 overall?  Most games were not even close, truthfully.  aTm hung 60+ on them, Georgia blew their doors off, Saban pretty much named his own score, Mississippi beat them by 3 TDs and they even fell victim to Vandy....yes, VANDY!  No, it's not the barner tears that I reference in this thread (delicious as they may be).  I am referring to MY fun, or lack thereof, from the 2012 season.  Lets face it, as a Bama fan, bringing home another crystal trophy is becoming somewhat routine..you know?  Another year, another NC.   It has come to the point that now that I have to look for excitement in other places and these days one way I like to pass time is by watching AU fail but as of late their epic level of failure has, much like Bama's success, become somewhat monotonous.  At the first of the year watching them struggle was fun. I was especially entertained by seeing how excited they got over pulling out that HUGE win over LA-Monroe but as the loses began to stack up it soon became evident that not only was I losing interest in watching them get crushed week in and week out but, for some reason I was actually beginning to feel sorry for them.  Honestly, by the end of the season, I think I was actually pulling for them just because I wanted the Iron Bowl to at least have some resemblance of an actual game, which it did not..(thanks AU) and Im also beginning to fear that soon the Iron Bowl will become pay per view.

I guess what Im trying to say is come on AU, beat Vandy, make a bowl game, produce a win in the SEC, do something other than beat LA-Monroe that warrants rolling Toomers.  Then maybe, just maybe, I can once again find happiness in watching you lose.  Im pulling for you, WDE!
