Whats with all the hate on Mauk? I thought he was the saver a year or two ago.
Mauk has always been a little iffy. He's always made bad decisions but early in his career, he got away with it more because of his receivers. Back when we had DGB, Ldamian Washington, etc and all their height bailed him out on many bad throws. After the big win against Florida two years ago, the majority of the fanbase fell in love with him.

Printz is the backup from what I've been told.
Shame, I'd love to see what Zanders can do.

Mizzou just announced that, as bad as MM may be, his suspension will continue through the UF game; so keeping Lock upright will be of paramount importance... unless Mizzou has another capable backup stashed away that we haven't heard about.
Honestly if Lock goes down I'm not sure who comes on. We have Eddie Printz who is a decent pocket passer and we have Marvin Zanders who is a good dual threat but I'm not sure how great of a passer he is. Our fifth QB on the depth chart is Corbin Berkstresser who played in 2012 after Franklin was hurt who they may choose to go to because of the experience.

South Carolinas defense made Greyson Lambert look like a heisman candidate, and he's terrible. Lock didn't even look like an All-Freshman quarterback. Don't be too shocked if he stumbles badly against a stout Gator defense.
I already know there will be highs and lows with a freshman QB, I just don't think it can get much lower than where we were with Mauk.
