People do talk about how Texas recruiting has gone for Nebraska (down but not gone though) but I personally don't think it matters all that much as Nebraska always needs to recruit nationally.  I think Mike Riley will be a good recruiter so he can get it done (in Texas and elsewhere).

So your obviously a Husker fan......does the move to the B1G which has hurt recruiting in the State of Texas for NU bother you? Is it a big deal? Do any other Husker fans talk about it?

Espn has invested in the sec like they used to in other regions. Media has invested a lot into sec. I would say they will still get a lot of extra help from the media to reclaim so sort of control.... eventually.

You may be right but I have a feeling it will be a long time before we see ONE conference with 3 or 4 titles in a row...(even if ESPN tries to steer things a certain way).

The Big 10 started out so horribly this season and they were written off by many.  Obviously, the BIG 10 did something to turn it around and I'm not sure what it was...coaching, or just latent talent that needed time to develop?

Regardless, I'm sad my Huskers are not in the elite of college football again just yet but at least they were respectable against USC.  As far as the SEC goes, I do think there is more parity and with coaches like Meyer and Harbaugh in the BIG 10 I think we will see more equalization between the SEC and BIG 10 in the years to come.  I could be wrong but I think it will be harder and harder for one conference to dominate like the SEC did for so many years...the landscape of college football has changed IMO.
