Help me decide

19 December 2014 - 10:12 AM

I had bid in a local auction on an antique double barrel shotgun that was supposed to be my "merry christmas to me" but a couple guys swooped in and bid it up far above what I was willing to pay.  So on to something else.

In my mind I've got 2 options.

1.  Finish out and upgrade my 6.8mmSPC AR-15.  New trigger, handguard, stock, scope and bipod.  Would be a nice <300 yard rifle.

2.  Start my 11.5" AR-15 build I've been planning.  11.5" BCM with Midwest Industries M-lok forearm, setup to add a suppressor in the future.

Anyone interested in a 6.8SPC AR upper?

21 October 2014 - 09:27 AM

Thinking about maybe getting rid of my 6.8SPC upper to fund an SBR build.  I don't really hunt anymore and 6.8mm is just to flippin high to shoot otherwise.

16" chrome lined barrel
proper 1:12 twist polygonal rifling and DMR chamber to allow shooting hot loads
charging handle
Troy TRX rail (closest currently equivalent is the Bravo)

Thinking maybe $550 for the whole deal....

I'll also throw in the Troy TRX barrel nut tool.

Fusion Power

Remember what I keep saying about fusion power?

That's the same group that turned out a Mach 3+ airplane 50+ years ago.  Cutting edge in a short period is what they do...

Interesting way to hunt hogs....
