the bat-signal is out....what are the national guys saying?

i wonder if arky employs the same "hoover doesnt matter, therefore, lets get out asap to save our arms for the regional" bs they were pumping last year.  we will see if that is still the same mantra this year....i suspect it will not be and all of the sudden, wins in hoover will matter....because in their case, the absolutely do....imo they are on the outside looking in and surrendered their regional host with the poor showing at auburn.  if they get on a hot streak, they could be back in it again, but i think thats a tall order.

good weekend for the dawgs....i think we have done enough to get it.  there are only like 10 teams with 40+ wins with a top 40 RPI and state is one of those teams.  if we shit the bed against mizzou, that could change, but winning this series was huge to the resume.

anybody think south alabama will get a host with the loss tonight?

i dont know about never, but that record should stand for a while....never is a long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long time....congrats vandy, that the best baseball team i can remember.  got a lot of respect for your squad....yall just need to get a real playing surface.

glad to get the series win today.....keeps the host chances alive.  what are yalls thoughts on msu's chances to host?  most people say usc is a lock....which they might be, but we have nearly identical records

msu 40-16 (16-14) we have the better RPI, we have the better SOS, we have the better overall record, we have the series advantage, the only thing we didn't do is get to play georgia, tennessee, or mizzou from the east.  on top of that, we have the nation's largest stadium and hold the attendance records....meaning, this regional will be far from a snoozer, and if the stars align, it might be something for the history books.

meanwhile, usc is 39-16 (17-12) and didn't have to play vandy 3x, and got to play the east's 3 weakest teams...subsequently, the three weakest teams in the conference.

im not saying this to say we should get to host over usc....i do think that, but that is not what i am saying, im saying if usc is such a lock, why are we not?  we have no bad losses, so that negates any lack of top 10 series wins we have.  we do get to hang the mantle of winning against them, so that certainly helps....i just think its a double standard, but i do understand it somewhat.....usc has the hardware to back it up....like i said, i respect the hell out of usc, but i think anyone that complements this team with the title "regional lock" should also respect the msu team that just took the series from them and a team that has arguably a better resume.

congrats on the win.  payback for yesterday i suppose.  i think yall win tomorrow.  i have no confidence in cohen in his ability to discern a good coaching decision for a bad one and his dumb ass will cost us another series.  lsu, arkansas, uk, and central arkansas have all gone down like game 2 of this series......the guy is a moron....not to take credit from yall....yall toughed it out and kept it together.  its just frustrating to be this dumb.
