After losing 2 commits in the past week, the Gator's got a plus on Thursday. They received a commit from 3* Tight End C'yontai Lewis. Lewis (6'5" 208 lbs; Tuscaloosa, Al.) commited only a day after he recieved a scholarship offer from the team, and several people guessed he was a lock for Miss. State. Tight End is a position of need somewhat because we currently have 2 former defensive ends and 2 unproven kids thought to be superstars coming out of high school last year. Though I like the commit, Lewis definitely needs to add a good 20-30 pounds between now and the start of summer next year if he wants to play TE in college, he can afford to come in a little underweight because he's probably a bit of a project but the weight room should be his best friend this upcoming season.

Also: He is the cousin and classmate of 5* Athlete and Alabama Commit Bo Scarbrough, who Florida has been pursuing a great amount lately.

Rumors are floating around that Joker Phillips is working hard at recruiting his godson 5* Safety Jamal Adams who is one of the top 3 Safeties in the class of 2014. A couple of recruiting analysts for 247 sports have changed their crystal ball projections to Florida, and one posted on the Texas board.

Based on some info I've received from folks close to Lewisville Hebron blue chip DB Jamal Adams, I've changed my crystal ball prediction from Texas to Florida.

As we've known for a while, Florida assistant Joker Phillips is Adams' godfather. But what we didn't know before is whether UF would make Adams a priority given the DBs in their own state. That appears settled and the Gators are going hard after Adams.

I think it will be hard for him to go anywhere but UF ultimately unless Phillips moves on before signing day."

Adams can play both Safety and Corner but with the amount of Elite corners we have and his natural position being Safety i'm sure that's what he'd end up playing.

UF's looking at another good haul for DB's again this season, with CB/S Duke Dawson already committed, CB Jalen Tabor a very likely commit, and the Gators going hard after CB/Track Star Adoree' Jackson, who has stated that he wants to play for winners in both Football and Track.

And in less happy news, G/OT Joseph Paul could quite possibly be the next decommitt. With The Gators obviously the favorite and very, very, very likely place that 5* OT David Sharpe ends up, and 3* OT Denzel Ward still showing no interest in any school but Florida, he could more than likely only see playing time at Guard. but with 4* G Isaiah Wynn showing some interest and the Gators having 3 guards who committed this past signing day, he could likely be looking elsewhere.
