There's a thread on TCP saying that 4* Nebraska safety commit Marcus McWilson is going to be flipping to us this weekend?  Any of ya'll heard anything more on this?  Says he's from Ohio, goes to the high school where Coach Stoops' dad coached, and I assume has a prior relationship via recruiting with Marrow.  Not sure what the validity of this is, but it'd would be damn exciting if true.  Our safeties were beyond wretched last year.  How many times did we see an opponent make a great catch deep and the closest blue jersey was 10-15 yards away?   Our prevent never really did much preventing if you ask me.

Today we have Jason Hatcher, Marcus McWilson, Ryan Timmons, James Hearns and Keith Kelsey Jr visiting.  All are supposed to be at the LSU game.  Landing their commitments for NSD would be huge.  Hopefully they get a chant started for all of them.  My girlfriend is down at Rupp with her friend for the game.  I gave her a list and told her to get the chants started.  lol....not getting my hopes up that she'll take that initiative without me there.

We've lost like what 3-4 guys here's lately? I hope that means we're making room for better recruits, but it makes me nervous. Still, I'm excited about the prospects we have considering UK.

I get all warm and fuzzy thinking about the likes of all the guys you mentioned, plus Woulard and JoJo Kemp. There's always a couple of surprises on signing day , too. Maybe we'll score a coup on another top recruit!

We lost Kelsey to Louisville today, but it's most likely because we're going to be landing Hearns who is better at LB anyway.

Alex Montgomery, 3* WR, commited to us today over the Dirty Birds so turnabout's fair play.  Still hoping for Timmons or Badet to shore up the WR corp.

Hoping to get Jeff Badet and JoJo Kemp tonight! I've heard rumor that if Badet commits, Woulard would be more likely to follow to UK. <fingers crossed>

Sadly, Hearns looks like he won't make grades. Maybe he can come next year after some community/ junior college to get his academics up.

Who was that guy who went to JUCO and never made it back that was supposed to be a hoss for a us a few years back? I know that's incredibly generic, but you might know the guy I'm referring to. Just wondered what ever happened to him.  Seems like he was a lineman.

Yeah, 7pm tonight Badet and JoJo....these would both be huge gets @ the WR and RB positions for us respectively.  I hadn't heard about Hearns....that sucks.  Hopefully he still comes through for us after getting his grades in order in JUCO if he goes that route.

Joker is recruiting Timmons for us too.
I think he is our 7th option and we are trying to take 6 WRs in this class.
Already have 5.

Its hard to imagine a kid goin somewhere where he'll get no playing time until his junior or senior year opposed to seeing immediate playing time while being our QBs 2nd or 3rd option. I wont be surprised if he stiffs us for Florida unfortuntaley. Whats really ed up is that we're gonna be using a spread offense. You'd think there would be a good amount of recievers interested in a SEC team that's gonna run this offense.

The only reason he's considering Florida is because he formed a really good relationship with Joker while he was still there.

We haven't had any decent receivers in years, even with a bunch on the roster.
I'm sure he (and all the rest of them) are expecting to compete and see the field right away.

No.  Joker didn't even try to recruit the guy until after he was hired down there and after Kentucky had started in on him.  Why not go for him when you're here but suddenly go for him when at Florida and when the new staff is recruiting him?

We're not mad at Florida.  It's just that Timmons plays at Franklin County, same place Joker grew up here in Kentucky.  And he didn't even attempt to talk to this kid while he was at UK.  Stoops, not being a complete moron, immediately tries to lock him up once he got hired.  Meanwhile, Joker is now 1,000 miles away from Lexington and suddenly decides to go after this beast.  Why was he sitting on his ass in Lexington but suddenly decides to start busting his ass in Gainesville.

This isn't the only story we've heard along these lines.  Numerous quality prospects have come out and said, after being contacted by our current staff, that the old staff just never bothered to even try to reach out to them.  The amount of laziness that pervaded our previous staff is just disgusting.
