Florida moving in on Woulard and Timmons. Joker is now dead to me. I can't help but think these moves are sour grapes on his part.
Exactly.  Why wasn't he already after Woulard when he was here?

Lots of really great 3* kids. Some 3* that have really hit it big:

Johnny Football
Zac Stacy
Jordan Matthews
Casey Hayward(2nd round pick)
Marcus Mariota(Oregon QB)
Chris Marve(was a 2* and ended up all SEC LB)
Randall Cobb

Just trust the coaches ability to scout and then their ability to develop. I'd say over half of ever sec roster is composed of 3* players and lower.

Plus DaMontre Moore.

Look for us to add Julien Obioha to the list in a year or two.

We sure as hell coulda used more than 3 QBs last season. I say 5 is OK. Attrition will happen one way or another, and we can't keep getting caught with our pants down, playing unprepared freshman, like last year. You gotta keep getting talent, developing it, and giving them opportunities to compete. Transfers may happen, but if the atmosphere is fair, and the team starts to win, I think guys will be willing to stay and be patient, wait for their opportunity.

I'd be shocked if Patrick Towles isn't y'alls starting QB come September, good looking QB.  Jalen Whitlow could move to WR if need be so that's always a luxury.

A lot of the recruits blew up Twitter yesterday w/positive things to say about their visits.   Stoops also landed a commitment from WR Javess Blue 4* Scout 3* Rivals.  Kentucky gets him over Texas A&M, West Virginia, and Mississippi State.  Also Jason Hatcher is going to host UK for an in home this week, which is excellent news.

Great work Coach! Go Big Blue!

FSU hired Randy Sanders today, so you're welcome. Of course, you guys were also dumb enough to hire Joker, so I suppose I owe you a thanks as well.

We landed a verbal from Reggie Meant today, DT out of Florida.  I'm reading mixed reviews on him, do you know much about this kid Joe?  Stoops has been making it a priority to bolster our defense.  I don't get the impression that he's coming to be a starter but I could be wrong.  Maybe the staff sees something in him that the recruiting sites haven't.

He's got experience all across the D-line, so he can plug in several spots. He also has a great frame to build on. I don't think he's an immediate starter, but he is versatile and has room for a lot more muscle.

Honestly, I have no idea.
Ft. Myers is very hit or miss for football. Really all high schools sports in general.

Stoops would have had to have been looking there specifically I would think.
This year, there's no way he "heard" about him.

Sounds like he sees potential in a guy that has had no legitimate coaching or training before.

Nate Willis, juco DB transfer commits. Can play safety or corner. Will likely play corner.

Boosts our class ranking to #37 on Rivals board.

Welcome Nate!!

Like all new coaches, Stoops is hitting the JUCO recruits hard because it gives an instant impact to the team and allows them hit the ground running from the start rather than starting all over with getting the high school recruits that may take a few years to develop.

Still I've liked what Stoops has done to this point but I'm with holding my evaluation of him until I get to see his team on the field.  That means this will be at least a 3 year evaluation although most should have a good guess about him after year 2....

Well winning starts with recruiting and he's getting that done. Whether he can prevent this team from getting stomped on by this SEC is what we need to see.
