Ah, that would do it.
Especially if they city takes a cut from the top.

Also, I forgot that Louisville is sponsored by KFC. That revenue is probably part of the numbers here.

What's crazy is that the YUM Center is having MAJOR financial difficulties.

That's surprising.
But the more I think about this, the more I think that little warning is important.
They are too many ways to record revenue to make these comparable.

F$U also pays Tallahassee to use their arena, and even if they didn't have to pay, there's no way they bring in near the amount of revenue we do for basketball.
I think you'd have to compare a couple of schools at a time to get any good info.

Louisville is the only basketball program to generate over $20m in revenue due to collection of alcohol sales.

That can't be right.... Louisville's basketball revenue is >$42 million.... Kentucky, Duke, and UNC are mid to low 20's?

The ACC allows it's individual institutions to make their own choice about alcohol sales, which was surprising to me.  Does FSU sell alcohol?

UK has been entertaining the thought of building a new on campus arena for bball for years.  I personally think they should but it looks like now they're thinking about added suites, extra seats to Rupp now with a total renovation.  We shall see....

Yes, the venue sells alcohol but it's actually just a convention center that FSU rents out.

Man....if Auburn would just disappear and Alabama acquired their fanbase.....well that'd be huge in terms of a lot of things.
