University of South Carolina junior running back Marcus Lattimore has elected to forego his final year of college eligibility and enter the 2013 NFL Draft, he announced today at a press conference at Williams-Brice Stadium.

Best part was the team doc finally spoke about the real details of his injury.   School usually wouldn't do that, but Marcus and his family wanted that info out to reassure folks about his future.

No fractures
No cartilage damage
No nerve damage
No damage to blood vessels

All 4 are potential complications with the way he was injured.  Marcus is free and clear of those worries.

He did have 3 torn ligaments, but only the ACL required reconstruction.

Timetable is 12-15 months (a clock which started about 6 weeks ago)....maybe more maybe less.   However long it takes, we know it's not going to be because Marcus didn't work hard enough.

Just watched the press conference.  I have nothing else I can say about the guy other than I'll miss him.  Incredible.
I'll just regress, because I feel I've made myself perfectly redundant.
