My t.u. daughter forwarded this pic to me. The Bell Tower on the campus of the University of Texas was lit up Maroon with the number 12 after Johnny won the Heisman in honor of the 12th Man. Props for showing University of Texas sportsmanship, Heisman Honor and recognition to the 12th Man.

Don't give those guys too much undue credit... They lit up their tower for Class of '12 graduates.

I would believe these 3 other explanations as to why that tower was maroon.

1. The lens and angle were wrong.. its really some other color.
2. It is Crimson, hoping that OU will win the cotton bowl.
3. Some aggies pranked the tower and changed the color to maroon.

Surely the people at Fexas haven't gone this soft.

The only classy thing that has gone on between these two schools in their 100+ years of history is how Texas (I'll give them respect and not refer to them as t.u. here) responded to the bonfire collapse in 99. Their halftime performance still gives me chills when we played them that year.

I agree with that. The Band carried aTm flags and played Amazing Grace and there wasn't a dry eye at half time.
My daughter said the tower was lit up for graduation but the color changed.
