Kentucky makes more money and has better fan support in football than MSU. They also lead the all-time series 21-19. The difference in the two has been the prioritization. Bear Bryant getting a cigarette lighter, what more do i need to say? They seem to be fixing that.

The series is ties at 20-20. Does anybody on here do any research at all?

Eh, he's not stupid.
But definitely has the biggest case of homerism I've ever seen.
It's not even endearing like some people manage to pull off.
Made worse by special circumstances.

I think it's worth looking at an entire athletic department when ranking a football job.
Winning in multiple sports means you have a successful boss and organization.
But having another truely elite program doesn't make any of the others better.

That's pretty much all you had to type right there. Having a successful basketball program hasn't stopped them from going 2-10. Just like owning most of the SEC on the diamond back in the days didn't help us win any football games.

You honestly can't look at Kentucky and tell me they're better than we are as a football program. There's no way.

My "special circumstances" have nothing to do with it.

And since you are all fired up about entire Arletic Department success, why don't you check UK's other teams.

Volleyball - Sweet 16 two years in a row
Softball - consistently ranked
Women's Bball - currently #6, two straight Elite 8
Cross country national title
Multiple "Rifle" titles
Football just recently went to 5 straight bowls
Basketball the greatest program in the country
Soccer goes to NCAA tourney every year
Cheerleading won like 19 out of the last 20 or so titles
Baseball preseason #8 and won the SEC within the last 5 years

UK is a very good athletic school, better than most SEC teams.

I was trying to give you an out!

Uh... I brought up athletic department success because UK has decent success across the board.
Did you think I was talking about Mississippi State?
Rifle and Cheerleading do not count.

It may be a bit off topic to rank teams now, but I'm new and determined to get my two cents in.

1st Tier would be:
Florida - excellent facilites, dedicated fans but most importantly they're in Florida. Should be in the Top 5 recruiting every year, and generally are.
Alabama - an Athletic department committed to winning, a reasonable state for talent but able to use name recognition to spread recruiting across the south. The fans are so committed its almost a downside, but if you're winning they're better than any in the country.
LSU - Louisiana has decent talent, but are able to tap into Texas easily. Facilities, fans and tradition are all check.
Georgia - One of the best states to recruit, a shiny new facility and a loyal fanbase.
Texas A&M - Might be too early to rate them this high, but as a Texas school seeing success in the SEC they really should start recruiting really, really well. Great facilities, fans and traditions.

2nd Tier
Tennessee
South Carolina
Arkansas
Ole Miss

3rd
Auburn - save the hate but think about it. They have to share a state with one of the most successful football programs in the country. Fans have unrealistically high expectations every year and will run a coach off the plains quick snap. They have great facilities but for as long as Saban is at Alabama its a crap job.
MSU
Vandy
Kentucky
Missouri

From the graphic, they are counting MSU's forfeit as a win for MSU.
MSU won on the field. The record can say what it wants, but if State won, they were the better team. Dude the series is 20-20. You were just wrong. It's not a huge deal. It happens.

Ok. If it's that important to you, you're right. Hey, just forget the fact that State won where it mattered. Your ego can't take being wrong. So, you're right. Go play son.

People....please explain to me why the UK job is not a better job than Mizzou, MSU, Ole Miss and Vandy.  The only one that has more history is OM, the only one that has a bigger stadium is NOBODY, the only one that has better facilities is NOBODY, the only one that has better fan support is NOBODY, the only one that has been coached by Bear Bryant is UK, the only ones that have won the SEC is OM and UK....has anyone else ever won the Sugar Bowl?  Won a Sagarin National Title?

I think some people are letting facts get away from their decision making process.

Ever heard of the Junction Boys??  The Bear coached at A&M too.

Maybe you should get your facts straight (and actually beat Mizzou) before you pop off.
