Or maybe UGA just doesn't make as much money as you think they do.

Sorry I take Forbes numbers more serious then some random text without a link.

http://www.forbes.co...valuable-teams/

They have our football team valued at 90 million alone. Thats not taking into account all the other departments. This article is obviously bull. '

They also had us as the third most profitable team in the BCS and most in the SEC.

I think I'm just going to quote all the examples of why I don't find the Iron Bowl that appealing.

Just because most fans on this site are civil enough to cheer for the state every once in a while doesn't mean your out of state rivalry is more heated.

Bama fans tried to set the oaks on fire after we beat new mex and the fire department had to put it down.

I wasn't comparing rivalries.
I have several close family memebers that went to Auburn and I've actually been to the Iron Bowl.

I know it's ridiculously insane, but it's not on some sort of competitive pedestal above several other major rivalries like a lot of folks here pretend it is.

FIFY

It's not considered what it is simply because only Auburn and Bama fans believe it.

This is why I quoted your post to begin with.
It gets a lot of media attention and that's why people think it is somehow bigger than others.
It's not.

You just sound jealous

And I hardly trust your "ive been there" opinion since every time I hear you say that it ends with "was not impressed" no matter what you are talking about. Especially when you talk about Auburn.

"Been to Auburn...meh town."

"Jordan hare...meh stadium"

"Eagle flying, seen it...meh. Nothing special. Clapping my hands lengthwise is much better"

You must be confusing me with someone else.
I've been to Auburn like 5 or 6 times and I always rate it very high.
Louder than everyone except UF and LSU- said that a hundred times on here.

For the record, many of these schools are including donations from their boosters in these reported revenues. What would would really be interesting would be to see the money the schools were generating if you took out the TV deals and the boosters money and see how much money each school generates by itself (free-standing).

50 bucks face value selling 99,000 x eight home games = 39,600,000

That in ticket sales. No telling with concessions and merchandise added in.

Thats just football

Click the revenue and expenses button for a breakdown by sport within the athletic dept.... it even has coaches salaries.... be patience, it takes about 15 secs to load.

That link doesn't give you any kind of monetary value. And the Forbes link is a year old yes but values do not change that much over a year. Your link has the entire Georgia revenue at 90 some odd million. Forbes has the football revenue at 90 million. Where did you get your original post information from?

gonna be a long off season
"Whenever I see those crimson jerseys and crimson helmets, I feel humbled to have played football for Alabama. Other players in the NFL talk to me about their schools and their traditions. I just smile knowing the immense love Alabama fans have for our school and its football program. I'm proud to be a part of that Crimson Tide heritage."

I like that auburn has a 50+ million dollar advantage over the mississippi schools and vandy etc.

You have a problem man.  A big time problem.
