There is a disconnect between the athletic dept and the administration. This has quietly been building for some time.
Tennessee has to recruit nationally. Tenn does not produce high school football players like Ga, Ala, Miss, FL, or even S.C.
Believe it or not there are some academic issues that complicate the matter, especially where JUCO players are involved. I suspect that these issues are what gave Strong a case of cold feet.
