Hold your horses. I never said that it should be a blanket rule that both teams go. But the rule keeping only 2 teams from one conference is crap when teams like NIU get to go.

Ohhhh I get it.
Yes, that is an unfortunate rule.

No, our defense was one of the worst in SEC history.

That would do it.  Ironically, our defense back then was pretty bad too.

Next year Auburn will be in the top seven again.
I kept failing a math test at the University of Alabama because every time I added 5+3 I got 8 and they kept insisting that the right answer was 14.

The list is as good as one can get it. Thanks for the post.

As far as the power rankings and methods discussed so far..
Record matters
Strength of schedule matters (games played at home or on the road factor in here)
Progression of the team to present matters (Noticeable growth/decline throughout the season)
Head to head matchups matter but should be to a lesser extent IMO..You can twist head to head matchups just about any way you want linking just about anyone to #1.. (Exagerated Example: TAMU Beat BAMA so they are #1, But LSU and Florida beat TAMU so they should be #1, Georgia beat Florida so they should be #1, and SoCal beat Georgia so they should be #1.)

Good Luck to all Bowl Bound SEC teams.  I have a feeling the SEC will run the table!

"Interchangeable" would imply you could put them in any order. That's not the case.

How did No.6 beat No.2 and No.5 beat No.1?

Not out of the realm of possibility.

I really think that is the case... How can you put Bama over TAMU when TAMU beat them late in the year? How can you put TAMU over Florida and LSU when they lost to both of them? How can you put LSU over Bama when they lost to them, late in the year? How can you put Florida over Georgia when they lost to them late in the year? How can you put Georgia over Bama when they lost to them in the SECCG? How can you put Georgia over SoCar when they got slaughtered by them mid season? etc. there are arguments for and against all of these teams being better than the others and arguments against them being better. Some arguments are more legitimate than others, but overall there is not much, if any separation among these teams.

Thank you for the definition of interchangeable.  I know what it means.  I believe they are interchangeable, and a lot of others agree with me.

However high and mighty you think UGA is....they are not head and shoulders above the rest of us.  We demolished you.  Yes, I was surprised how close the SECCG was...but everything went UGA's way and they still lost.  Lucky for UGA on the 4th and 1 that Bama was a half-second too late getting the play off, or the fake would have produced a 1st down.  Then UGA got 7 points on special teams.  Then UGA had a trick play work for them on 4th.

UGA had the easiest schedule of UGA, USC, and FL.  So don't think cause you played last Saturday and we didn't....that you are better than we are.

I'm just gonna let this one go because at this point I really don't give a shit what bitter Carolina fans think.

Crazy how "things going their way" only counts when it either doesn't involve SC or if it does, they lost.

Looks fine except I would swap Florida and UGA. Georgia's still a great team, but Florida's overall body of work is much more impressive in my opinion.

I'd also keep Kentucky at 14. Auburn was bad, but at least we beat all our non-BCS foes....
