If Dave(half-a-moustache)Wineglass was still coaching there I'd say it was a gimme for the Rebs. But I still think Ole Miss runs away with this one,Pitt don't impress me none.

Pitt probably won't have a coach for this game. Paul Chryst is a good bet to go back to Wisconsin.

I don't necessarily know if it's going to be a blowout. It's a matchup of two pretty similar teams in terms of how the season went, other than Pitt's loss to Youngstown State to start the season.

Both 6-6, but both could very well be 9-3 right now. Pitt lost a heartbreaker to ND, we lost one to LSU. Pitt allowed 2-3 4th quarter comebacks to lose the game, sound familiar Rebs?

They are both going to want to come out and make a statement for their program, and this being Pitt's third straight year in this bowl I think they have something to be pissed about.

That being said, I don't think Pitt will travel nearly as well because of it being their 3rd time in the same bowl in a row, and their suspect secondary play will allow us to feed Moncrief all night long, and even get Vincent Sanders involved. You can stay on the bench Korvic Neat.

Saw a comment about our "no defense" above so I wanted to touch on that for a second to. Did you watch us play the last half of the season? Yeah we had some miscues, but our defense is what kept us in the LSU game, solidified a win over State, and has really come on as of late against the run/pass with some good blitzing schemes. This is all against SEC competition. Playing against Pitt will be a breath of fresh air and I think we unleash the dogs on them and give Martinez a good view of the sky that day.

Close for a while, but Rebs end up jogging away with it at the end.

Rebels 35 Pitt 24 (Someone predicted this already, I think, but it sounded the best to me when thinking of scores in my head)

I'm pulling for the state of Mississippi to be undefeated in post season play. Don't let me down, Jhonnies, and State will do its best to represent Mississippi well also.

And afterwards, we can both point to and laugh at Southern Miss.

I see a blowout coming.  Riding too high to come out flat in this game.

OM -45
Pitt -23( /w garbage touchdown at end of game)

If I doubted Hugh Freeze before, I cannot deny it now.  Leading OM to the compass bowl has been a tremendous feat.

Have you watched us this season? We actually have a pretty serviceable defense, just not very much depth. Thats why we have lost so many close ones this season.

you will find the average auburn poster has no facts to back what they say about Ole Miss. There are a few here that do so take it easy on them.
