Philip Marshall said it was utter BS and Auburn is still interviewing. We have the Clemson OC coming today and Petrino was called this morning.

I could just see it:
Saban: Kirby, I'm gonna need that playbook
Kirby: But Nick, this is mine. I need it.
Saban: You are gonna give that to me or it's gonna get real physical. You want that?
Kirby: (hands over book) No
Scene finishes with Kirby dressed in high heels calling his grandma and crying
This could be applied to every recruit in Bama as well

it would be sad to see him go, but he's destined for bigger and better things. Not sure how the Auburn family feels about leeching off the almighty Saban though.
I can damn sure tell you how they should feel.

Doesn't sound like they're considering Petrino very seriously.

Of course he wants Bobo. There best friends and Bobo is never going to be a head coach. Well maybe at some Po-Dunk school. I am all for it!. Take him and bring me someone who will let a QB run. We got Lemay coming up and he is going to be a dual threat if they let him.

It's either that or the process has been so prolonged with him that the call was to tell him no, yes, or "you'll know by tuesday."
If Auburn seriously used that short call as the "interview" and that's all there is to that, then our administration is either fawking with us or they have no idea what they are doing. A 15 minute call does not placate the Auburn fans that want him.

I'm not trying to poo poo on Kirby getting the job at Auburn but Im not sure where everyone is getting this "he will bring back discipline, etc"..........I think Kirby is more of a "players coach" and that his youth and inexperience will show itself, because the SEC is a big stage, tough to come out swinging and be successful in the first few years, especially walking into a dumpster fire like Auburn

It would be interesting to know what they are thinking or to know about when the decision will be made. I do not want to lose Smart now, or to Auburn. After the NC ok. To Auburn after the NC maybe ok. Now to AU - NO. I'm sure NS feels the same way.

The decision will be announced tonight or tomorrow according to Auburn President Jay Gogue.
I kept failing a math test at the University of Alabama because every time I added 5+3 I got 8 and they kept insisting that the right answer was 14.
