I'm failing to see the butt-hurt in what he said... it's not like he said anything negative about Kirby.

Not so much in this thread but in others, yes he has bad mouthed the Asst. Coach of the Year. Good luck in Orlando Dawgs, from what I saw last night, you guys should hang 50 or more on Nebraska.

Good luck to you guys as well... that was probably the most entertaining game we've been a part of in some time... wish we were on the winning side though. First time in a really, really long time that I felt like we lost giving it our all.

Right up there with the 2010 Iron Bowl, huh?
I kept failing a math test at the University of Alabama because every time I added 5+3 I got 8 and they kept insisting that the right answer was 14.

I really don't want Kirby to take this one he's done to much for us for him to end up on the darkside and me have to start wishing bad things on him.

Go get you another 5-19 coach Aubs

This is asinine. Why is he even being considered? I THOUGHT YOU WANTED SOMEONE WITH A PROVEN TRACK RECORD, JAY JACOBS?

I'm actually warming up a little to the idea. Pat Dye said back when he interviewed: I have worked for them. I know how to beat them.

It's a huge gamble but he's now tied with Jimbo on my wish list at number 2.

Call me a gambling man.

I would be OK with this hire.  I know its a bit of a gamble but he brings many of the qualities we need right now, namely toughness and discipline...  I think $20 / 5 yrs is excessive for a new HC.  If he is brought in I would be OK with that kind of money if it was tied to incentives / success.  The better AU does the better the coach does...

He is not top of my list but would be a reasonable hire with more upside chance than down.  WAY better than hiring Malzahn.  Of the guys currently listed / thought to be potential candidates I would say he's my #4 just about tied with Charlie Strong.  #1: Patterson or Petrino, #3: Fisher.

I'm just as pissed as you guys, Kirby would be enemy #1. I'm all for assistants going off and having great careers, just not inside the same damn state.
