Congrats, man.  We own our home in Louisiana, which thank God the sale closes next week, but I just bought my first house outright yesterday. They wouldn't use my wife's income or credit because she's still working out of state, so it's all me on the mortgage. Kind of scary in that we are going into such a big house, but I'm ready to have a friggin house again.  Crashing with friends up here in NWA is getting old
