Moving forward there are many changes necessary. A young, hyper OC has to be hired. A guy who can change the attitude in the locker room. Change the culture. Bring in a new, exciting coaching staff and hire a new school S&C coach. We lost at least a year of recruits.
As for candidates, I think you have to first look at Blake Anderson. He should have been hired last year. Monken is another option. Personally I'd like to see Kingsbury at least considered. I'm still not buying into Petrino being a legit option, but I'd take it even if he would be a rental. Any coach worth a shit is a rental for a CUSA team

You do realize he was not the DC, correct?
HIs DC track record speaks for itself and is more than impressive.

Well his record as a HC is shit. You get handed the keys to a C-USA powerhouse and you tank it that badly? Good grief, most coaches could accidentally win a game or two.

noooo thanks.
I was a little concerned when we promoted Ward last year instead of searching for someone else to take the vacancy. I couldn't be happier now.

I don't feel bad for him.
him. He did it to himself. You guys have no idea how bad it was this year. The players stopped showing up for meeting and workouts in September. He completely disconnected himself from the team. He wouldn't even talk to his guys. He wasn't even on the same page as his coordinators. There were several times where the OC would say one guy was starting and EJ would say another would. He gave his most electric offensive player 25 touches all season...same guy who had over 1300 yards last year. And let his best RB rot on the bench because he practiced poorly....Fedora stated many times Hardy sucked in practice but all he ever did was average 7 yards/carry. Guess what, he averaged more yards/carry again but only got 30 touches all year. I could go on but see no reason too.
EJ. Don't you dare feel sorry for his dumbass

This is what happens when you have a bunch of morons in charge who are worried more about their kickbacks than their job. If USM was a fortune 500 company, there would be books and movies about its collapse and how they killed their stockholders. (I'm talking over the last 5 years)
Luckily the Nebraska game fell on the right date and this was possible. Without that, we'd be stuck with that feckin idiot one more year.
