Basically like everything else, its all rumors right now, but here is what I heard.

Rumor is the Mizzou AD and President are not happy about the 5 win campaign in the 1st year in the SEC. They told Pinkel that he needs to make a change on his staff. Pinkel said the hell with that, and basically what it has come to now is Pinkel either firing some staff, stepping down himself, or being relieved of his duties as head coach.

All of this came off sports talk radio, but the host of the show was the head sports director of our local NBC affiliate.

Anyone else heard anything around Pinkel and Mizzou?

Believed to be mostly false at this point by our rivals editor... Press will be talking to him today around three so we will see what happens, He is very loyal to his assistants, but a coach talked to our rivals editor last night and said it's mostly false.... There could be some juggling of assistants to different positions, but don't expect anyone to be fired.

Losing to Vandy at home should make you reevaluate some life choices...

Were talking about this on local radio this morning.
Called it a rumor that Pinkel was stepping down today.

It'd be a stupid move if they did, IMO. Way too many program pulling the trigger WAY too quickly on firing their coaches. Jeez. Not everyone can compete for a title every year.

This just was released about 30 minutes ago.

(KSDK Sports) -- The University of Missouri'sPosted Image inaugural year in the SEC was a dismal one for the Mizzou football Tigers and their head coach Gary Pinkle.  The Tigers, suffered their first losing season in eight years.
Rumors have been circulating for weeks concerning Pinkel's future, but today the Columbia Daily Tribune is reporting that Missouri athletic director Mike Alden said Coach Pinkle will be back next season.
The University of Missouri has scheduled a media press conference for tomorrow and KSDK sport director Rene Knott will be there for complete coverage.

Missouri (5-7, 2-6 SEC) has failed to earn bowl eligibility for the first time since 2004.

The Tigers lost their season finale to the red-hot Texas A&M Aggies, 59-29. The offense had a productive day with 465 yards, but the defense had no answer for Johnny Manziel, allowing 647 yards of offense to the Aggies.

Corbin Berkstresser started under center for Mizzou and completed 20-of-38 passes for 276 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception, with L'Damian Washington (four receptions, 98 yards) and Dorial Green-Beckham (four receptions, 55 yards) being on the receiving end of the scoring strikes.

Berkstresser also added 33 yards and a touchdown rushing, and Kendial Lawrence also had an impressive day on the ground with 87 yards and a score.

Good thing that James Franklin (the qb) will be sitting on the bench watching Maty Mauk.

Crap. Yost needs to go and if he doesn't I might have to have an SECTalk rant.
