Yeah the gator bowl tried that shit when we went 2 years ago. They wanted a 500 ut team and apparently the sec stepped in and said hell no...

Well, to a bowl the bears probably look a lot more appealing. Enthusiasm seems pretty high among Ole Miss fans whereas MSU fans are falling apart. Then there's the results of the Egg Bowl

i know bowls are all about money but if the sec allows an 6-6 team to go to higher bowls than an 8-4 team, something is wrong...now i know we got are ass kicked head to head but whats the point of the other games of the year then??...if this were any other team, i would say the same thing...

If you're coming to the game, remember to bring your gun into the stadium with you. It's for your own safety. You'll need it once it's over and you're walking back to your car. Hopefully it'll still have all its windows intact.

Well shit, after our finish do we deserve anything else? Lose 4 out of 5 and we shouldn't even be in a bowl game. Merlin better get his shit together or next season will be his last.

There may be some instances where the SEC would step in...but I don't see this being one of them. Ole Miss had a tougher schedule(played Vandy and UGA from the East as opposed to UK and UT) and they played texass for an OOC game whereas State's toughest OOC opponent was middle tennessee. And they showed a lot more fight in their losses than State.
It seems pretty clear who the better team was this season...plus at this point the Rebels would probably sell more bowl tickets.

Its possible to happen.... but HIGHLY unlikely.
Marshmellow does what he can to get us stirred up..... Heard around the offices today that several people interviewed the bowl reps in a telecon yesterday and he totally took what they said and twisted it to fit his ideas for a "story".
The three bowls that are being talked to are Chickfila, Gator, and MCB. There would have to be some weird shizz to go down for us to get Chickfila..... So, it is looking like Gator again.....
Gator will pass on Vandy because even on a down year they seem to think we will bring more fans than Vandy would.

No what's seriously wrong is an 8-4 team looking bad enough that falling that far is justifiable

see i do think this is where the sec steps in...because again, what is the point of having a priority system if you get to just pick whoever you want??...regardless of schedule and head to head, if you have an 8-4 team dropping all the way down to b-ham, then something is seriously wrong with that situation...
You say dropping all the way down like there are a ton of bowl eligible SEC teams you're ahead of. Other than Ole Miss, every other SEC team that's going bowling has a better conference record than you. And Ole Miss is 3-5 while yall are 4-4....and like I said the Rebels played a tougher schedule, looked more competitive in their losses, and beat yall head to head. Don't act like a bowl taking them over yall is some giant travesty.

Tried to tell you guys , but nobody would listen....Ole' Hoganknows
Music City wants Ole Miss and they are helping Vandy to go higher to get Ole Miss and not Vandy, so they can fill the hotels in Nashville with happy fans...you know politics, like Obama. State blew it all with the bad Ole Miss loss and losing 4 of last 5...tried to tell you guys that last week, but Ole' Hogan is just a joke.
