Rivals is churning that he'll resign on his own and one person is dead set that his source is 100% he resigns for personal reasons... He stated many times he doesn't want to be a lifetime coach... So perhaps some validity with his marriage falling apart a fan base turning on his assistants etc etc...  Don't even want to venture a guess on who we would pursue at this point.

I don't pay to use Rivals but Tigerboard is saying that he is resigning.

Bad year to be in the market for a coach... but I guess if he resigns there's nothing you can do. I'd give him another year or two and take some of that SEC money to get a better coach if he doesn't improve.

I heard he didn't mind "a come to Jesus meeting" and" a good ass chewing " but Pinkel was totally against firing any of his staff most of which had been with him for 12 years. He is a good coach, well respected in the Texas recruiting circles and with High School Coaches. He has a pipeline full of Texas High School Recruits. He got you to the SEC and  had some issues with alot of injured players like Franklin and Josey both of which were suppose to be All Americans this year.
If they fire him that would be a pretty rash decision unless they already have someone lined up.
They should keep Pinkel otherwise you will find him and his staff at Arky, UT, Auburn or Kentucky kicking your ass.
