Murray is a clean 6'1.
I've been extremely pro-Murray since 2008, but LOLOLOLOL

He actually is a clean 6'1 in cleats. That's not terrible. People act like he is 5'9 which is far from the truth. It's pretty easy to look tiny as a quarterback when most of them these days are 6'3 or taller, and are lined up behind 6'5 guys.

EDIT: and it's not like I'm the most pro Murray guy around

solid QB but not a #1 pick
"Whenever I see those crimson jerseys and crimson helmets, I feel humbled to have played football for Alabama. Other players in the NFL talk to me about their schools and their traditions. I just smile knowing the immense love Alabama fans have for our school and its football program. I'm proud to be a part of that Crimson Tide heritage."

If Murray returns he could be a late 1st or early 2nd round pick next season. Heck, with such a weak quarterback class this season he could be a late 1st or early 2nd rounder if he has a strong finish this season. Obviously not a Top 10 pick though.

It's not just the AJC either.

"If Murray were indeed to come out, he’d likely be considered a top-five player at his position and a borderline lock as first-round pick prior to the pre-draft workouts."

Personally, I think it would behoove him to stay a year and have a great showing with Clemson and LSU on the schedule and show he can perform in big games.  I don't think he's a top flight 1st round QB... Yet.

Very good QB, but makes very bad desicions too much for a guy with 3 years of games under his belt. This is coming from a fan of Carolina, who watched Brachia for 5 years.

The rumor around here is Bray will be returning for his senior season, so if Murray left this year he'd have one less QB to compete with for draft position. But I think he'll take the same route as Bray and stay.

Is he really?  Aren't Hunter and Patterson both deucing out?

Hunter probably is because he has a kid.

Patterson I'm not sure on. 50/50 with him.

Bray would probably have left if Dooley were kept, but I think he realizes he can improve his draft stock as well as finally having a competent coach to play under.

I think he understands he isn't the prototypical NFL QB which is why he is getting all the degrees he is getting. Dude is really smart.
I wouldnt want to be the number one pick anyway if I were him. He'd probably go to a better team.

I think it's better for the young guys to not get thrown in the fire early, unless they are clearly ready, which are few and far between. The NFL offenses are usually pretty complex to grasp.
