We just so pissed staying home after such a good SEC season. To be honest A&M screwed us - we got too many teams now:)

Trust me I'm cheering for you guys. Vandy is awesome and I hope you guys get a kickass bowl. It just sucks the way the SEC is so stacked right now.
2 years ago you could go 8-4 and get the Cotton. Now days you have to have at least 10 wins. It is what it is, though.

The Dores in no way will go above State. There will be two SEC teams in the BCS regardless of what happens to the Irish.
its a cruel world. weve been passed up by teams with lesser records before because they have a bigger fan base. trust me, they will pick us because we would bring at a minimum 10K more fans. when we played michigan, maroon made up about 80% of that stadium...and that was against a good traveling michigan team. no way vandy sniffs 70 K in any bowl. sorry, but its about selling hotel rooms, increasing business, etc. as i said, the michigan msu gator bowl was 77K. if you think vandy would match that, this conversation is over. not trying to be an ass, but trying to show how the business aspect supersedes records.
edit: meant to quote hogan.....my bad b.

The only way I see around that is if the MCB and GB broker a deal to place MSU in Nashville because of a the greater impact to the local economy. Obviously Vandy won't effect the Nashville economy like State would (hotel rooms, food, etc), since many of them already live there.
But not sure why the GB would wanna go for that. It could just as easily be the MCB and LB brokering a deal to bring Vandy to Memphis. But again, I doubt it. MCB does get a higher pick so they could pick someone else but not sure who else is gonna be available.

I said both teams in the final game from the SEC- like last year-Bama and LSU.
Each team would move up one spot- like State to Atlanta and Vandy to Jacksonville.

No. nobody moves up a slot.
The BCS rules are that each conference can only put 2 teams in their games.
So, whetehr Florida plays in the MNCG, aTm goes to the Sugar or whatever, nobody else moves up a spot. the SEC is all but assured of 2 teams in the BCS already.
Even if AL loses to AU & UGA & misses out. The ONLY way we get only 1 team in the BCS is IF:
UGA loses to Tech and Bama
or
Bama loses to AU & UGA
and
aTm lose to Mizzou
LSU loses to Arky
and
UF loses to FSU
and
SC loses to Clemson
THEN we have a conference champion in the Sugar and all of our teams MIGHT get left out since our next best option has 3 loses
And the higher seeded bowl will take MS State because of a better traveling fan base
I hate to be the one to break it to you, but it is what it is...

Let's re-visit this subject...Hogan been a thinking....so here we got a team(State) who returns tickets for their big in-state rivial game in their own state and they expect to take 70K to the Gator Bowl?
If Vandy wins ....winner of 6 straight...If State loses ...loser of 4 of 5....who you want!
