Maybe CBS did the right thing passing on this game...

@dcbl, Ole Miss is offering a 2 for 1 deal while jacking up prices for the tickets offered to MSU. That's why these tickets were returned. Our fans have sold out our stadium for three straight years so I have no doubt we'll bring much more than our allotment to Oxford.

We are M-State.

Everyone I know are picking them up for cheaper than what they were charging us. And better seats. It's not like we won't have anyone there. We will actually have a pretty good crowd.

OK - I just saw that headline and thought is was weird for 2 reason:

1 - I thought SEC schools typically gave conference opponents 10,000 tix (as opposed to the 6,500 MS State asked for)
2 - could not believe that they would not all be taken; especially 3,500 than they could ask for

I am 99% sure that we give 10,000 to everyone including GA Tech if they want them...

did not know that the rebel bears were jerking y'all around on the price

I'm fairly certain the home team denotes how many tickets to be given at first. I think the visitors could ask for more if available.

there has got to be a league minimum, I just always understood that UGA always did 10K & that we pretty much get 10K for any road game from other SEC schools

Ticket smack is weak. Especially when we've sold out every ticket for three years now and we set Gator Bowl and MCB records the last two years.

It's what Ole Miss charges our ticket office. Our ticket office isn't going to take a loss and sell them cheaper when they aren't making any money from them in the first place.
