And y'all stop hatin' on Johnny Manziel. People are out making money off his name so he's protecting that. It's his right. I'd do the same thing if I were in his shoes. The media needs to leave him alone. Talk about football and not wonder how many times he shits in a day.

For all the law folks,

So if I changed my legal name to Johnny Football, do I pay royalties to him? (his parents considering they did the trademark) or since it would then be my legal name, would I be able to bypass this trademark?

Also seeing as that you cannot trademark an actual name, If I did change my name to Johnny Football, would his family be at some sort of liability, would it be retroactive in other words.
