Yeah, we made a huge mistake. Fulmer is such a great coach he's already took over another program and has them on the right track.

Oh.. wait...

He's sitting on a couch getting no offers from any half decent university. My bad.

Fulmer was done. David Cutcliffe(and Chavis in 06 wasn't too bad) is the only reason we had success in 06 and 07.

The hire that started it all was Kiffin- what a awful hire and he will also be fired from USC soon. Kiffin is a complete idiot!

I edited my post some,in 2007 Tennessee had a top five class

Did you forget that Eric Berry, Denarious Moore and Dan Williams were about the only players worth a damn from that class? Those three kept that class from being one of the biggest bust classes since they started ranking recruiting. Fulmer phoned it in. If he was still here we would have Tajh Boyd and not much else. I doubt Jawaun James, Tiny, or Bullard would be here, ceeflash and Justin Hunter would damn sure not be here, Lane probably wouldn't be here, and Rivera was brought in by Kiffin as well.

You guys are looking at this in the wrong light

You may have been mediocre under his last couple of seasons, but since then you've done EXACTLY as well as we have.

Again, firing Fulmer wasn't the mistake. Imagine if Kentucky had hired John Shulman as their coach instead of Calipari. Is the mistake firing Tubby Smith? Did he not win a natty at Kentucky? Did he not have a ton of championships at UK?

Fulmer did jack Posted Imageing shit for ten years. It is by no means asking too much to get an SEC championship once every ten years at the University of Tennessee. I'm sorry, but it's unacceptable. 5-6, 9-4, 10-4, and 5-7 should NEVER cut it at Tennessee. Yeah, he was decent and we've been putrid since he left. But he wasn't beating Saban, he wasn't beating Meyer, and without Cut, he wasn't beating Richt or Spurrier. You can't survive that at Tennessee without REAL championships, which again, Fulmer hadn't won any in TEN years.

I do think Fulmer would win 8-9 games a season and maybe more

That's really fantastic that you would want that to be the expectations at Tennessee.

Fulmer had to be let go. He was good for UT in his day but the game evolved past him. He couldn't recruit the talent to compete with Alabama, Georgia and Florida every year. (Who he had to play every season). Tennessee just made bad hires afterwards.

Hamilton was good at hiring basketball coaches. Everything else was a complete travesty.

You can say the fulmer fire was a good idea all you want, i can see it both ways, but point the two coaches after fulmer ruined Tennessee, y'all have to find a big name coach after this season

Different AD this time around. Hart seems to only care about the football team.
