Despite the pick 6, I thought Russell was outstanding.  IMO, he's one of the better QBs in the SEC.

I'm not upset with Russell.  The pick-six sucked but you can't ask much more than a QB to go into to Death Valley and throw for 300 yards with no running game to help him out.

I was ok with last night. The guys played hard and the offense moved the ball. Defense sucked, but still played hard. They just made fewer mistakes than our guys did. If State plays with that kind of effort two more times, they win out and this will turn out to be a great year.

im not mad at russell, but he needs to develop a better internal clock.  the problem is only compounded when our receivers arent able to get open.  i would have never guessed the line would have passed blocked as well as they did....really, no sacks against lsu until the last series was one hell of an accomplishment by this group.  i have been really impressed with the run game in the first 7 games, but the last 3 have been turrble....as mentioned, it been against 2 elite defenses and one that is really finding itself among the elites.


i will gladly pretend this 3 game skid never happened if we can pull the last 2 out.  9-3 aint bad....one thing though....we all are going to take a lower bowl with bama playing themselves out of the national championship.....unless they can somehow claw their way back into it.

really, i just want a matchup versus a team we can beat without much effort.  i would like to avoid the acc or big 12....i find myself salivating with a matchup against the vaunted big 10 teams.  just about every team in the sec would crush an upper tier big 10 team.....a la the '10 gator bowl.  we would probably be going to the capitol one or outback bowl at 9-3 had the tide not shit the bed vs atm.

Bama not being in the NC won't matter.. two SEC teams will make it into the BCS regardless. I still see Peach/Gator depending on who else is bowl eligible.

i guess so....last time we didnt have 2 sec schools in the bcs was '05 and it happened quite a bit prior to '05, but the sec is a totally different animal than it was then.  atm, bama, lsu, georgia, florida maybe usce all have a legit shot at it.  good call B.
