Gah, I can't stand Dick Vitale. Dogs on Bama at halftime and then chalks up the whole game to UK underachieving. No respect, eh.

UK didn't play well at all in the second half, but we also made crucial adjustments that turned the course of the game. Namely taking Wiltjer out of the offense and not posting up vs Noel.

I'd say it was a combination of both, but I won't apologize for it. This is a huuuuuge win for our resume. We needed it BADLY.

I still think Bama would have won, but the refs were terrible in this game too.
They were just as awful in Missouri v South Carolina.

Those looked like cramps. The fact that he was able to stand bods well for Bama. I bet he'll be 100% tomorrow.

I think Cal simply got out coached in that second half. Grant made all the right adjustments in the second half and Cal didn't make one. Hopefully Bama keeps the ball rolling

What adjustments did he make at half time? Grant stopped using the full court press, told his guards to pump fake Noel, and started double teaming Wiltjer when he had a mis match. I didn't see anything Cal did in that second half that changed the game at all.

It was the guards that killed us in the second half?

We missed shots.  We forced shots.  We missed free throws.  And on two glaring out of bounds calls the refs screwed the pooch.

Bama plays tough D but they didn't cost us a win.  Players gotta make plays...as do refs.  If we had handled our "plays", it wouldn't have mattered about the refs.  Having said that you'd expect the refs to be competent.

If those 2 calls at the end were made right the outcome certainly would of been different. I dunno if we would of won but it would of been closer. This isn't the first game where free throws have cost us the game. We had UL beat if it weren't for missed free throws.
