We're a great home team that has yet to lose in Gainesville; but we're not a shabby road team either.
The Arkansas game was an anomaly, imo; one of those where every team is going to have an off night during a season, and that was it for UF. It was the day after we moved up to #2, and I think the players got a little overconfident and lackadaisical.
If we look at our other 2 losses, 1 was to Arizona at their house by 1 point, and we were winning most of the game and let it get away at the end; and the other was to KSU at their house by 6... both of those teams are in the Top 10.
Our other road games include wins over FSU by 25, Yale by 21, LSU by 22, ATM by 21, UGA by 17, MSU by 35, and AU by 31; and virtually every arena we've visited has treated it like their team's biggest game of the season... so I hope the experience of our upper classmen and the sting of the loss to Arkansas has our guys prepared for the raucous environment.
There were 10,000 at LSU, 10,500 at FSU, 11,000 at ATM, 13,800 at Arkansas, 14,500 at Zona, and 16,300 at KSU, so our guys should be accustomed to hostile crowds by now. Mizzou averages 11,400 at home, so it should be an electric atmosphere, but not one that should intimidate the players.
